Mounting

Hanging the board on the wall and attaching work to the board are separate things. They are listed separately because they are installed and used separately.

Close view of the back edge of a board showing the fabric wrapped over the solid wood frame, the hardboard back panel, and one white cleat block fixed with two screws
Product photograph A cleat block on the back edge, over the internal frame.
Board to wall
MethodFrench cleat
Supplied with each boardTwo cleats and one rail per board
Wall typesTell us whether you are fixing to drywall, stud or masonry; fixings are specified accordingly
Moving a boardLifts off the rail and re-spaces along it. Moving to a different wall means installing a rail there.
AlignmentBoards can be set edge to edge so a run of panels reads as one continuous surface
Mounting heightYour choice. We confirm the clearance needed above the rail to lift a board on and off when we quote your configuration.
InstallationCan be arranged in the United States. Tell us your location and we will confirm.
Work to board
MethodPins pushed into the fabric face. No tape, no adhesive, nothing left on the wall behind.
Suited toPaper: drawings, plots, prints, storyboard cards, photographs and lightweight references
Not suited toHeavy material samples — stone, tile, thick timber or metal. These need a shelf or tray, not a pin.

Project documentation

This page covers the board as we build it. Acoustic, fire-performance, emissions and sustainability documentation for the assembled board is not published, and is not claimed.

If your project, campus or workplace specification calls for a particular standard or test report, name it in your quote request and we will tell you what is available before you build it into a submittal.
